Nuclear photonics: Laser-driven nuclear physics

چکیده
Abstract High-power lasers can produce high-energy gamma rays, charged particles, and neutrons induce various types of nuclear reactions. In Extreme Light Infrastructure Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP), Romania, high-power are entering a new realm 10 PW peak power, capable obtaining focused intensity 23 Wcm –2 . Such an intense laser pulse will be used for studies relevant to physics, high-field quantum electrodynamics, or the combination experiments. Here, we describe how is drive photons accelerate electrons protons. These particles secondary interactions in physics. Laser-driven physics source isomers applications medicine astrophysics.

Laser Induced Nuclear Physics and Applications
Laser induced beams of protons, neutrons and gamma rays using short pulse lasers is currently important principally because of the potential applications e.g. isotope production, transmutation studies, laser induced fission, heavy ion fusion reactions, neutron production and radiography, fast ignitor and spallation studies of neutrons. Although the Strathclyde group in collaboration with teams ...

the first importance. Behnke has demonstrated that the "lean body mass," since it represents the active tissue of a person, is superior to reference standards hitherto proposed for the estimation of physiological functions such as the masses of various organs and tissues and the volumes of the different fluid compartments in the body. In the present article, which has been reprinted as a short ...

Our research unit is part of an Interuniversity Attraction Poles (IAP) program, BriX (The Belgian Research Initiative on eXotic nuclei for atomic, nuclear and astrophysics studies), in which we collaborate with other nuclear-physics groups, both theoretical and experimental, in Belgium and abroad. Through this collaboration, there is a possibility for very motivated ULB students to realize ...
